About The Good Doctor
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Joshua Tepperberg knows a thing or two about flavor! A former Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and professional percussionist, Tepperberg toured the globe as a musician and honed his culinary skills in various parts of the world including Japan, Belize, Honduras, and the Caribbean. Joshua’s deep love of international foods and innate appreciation for nature’s finest ingredients is the foundation of his unique cooking style, which he describes as Global Soul.
After working as a private chef and caterer, Tepperberg launched an innovative dinner party delivery service in 2006. Focusing on his "from the ground up" philosophy, Joshua created all of his marinades & dry rubs, seasoning salts, and batter mixtures from scratch using all natural ingredients. His delectable blends took on a larger-than-life identity of their own, and upon observing Joshua’s technique with his seasonings, one extremely satisfied customer proclaimed him "Doctor Marinade" and the name stuck ever since.
Joshua’s coveted recipes became the toast of NYC and he quickly developed a reputation as the go-to-guy for fantastic healthy meals that will leave guests buzzing for weeks. Solely through word of mouth, Tepperberg’s client base expanded and Doctor Marinade began making frequent house calls throughout the big apple. Today the "Doctor" has developed a cult-like following amongst New York’s jet-set boasting a client roster of boldface names including, celebrities, supermodels and high profile business moguls.
The rave reviews received by Tepperberg’s dishes prompted him to launch a signature line of gourmet cooking products called Dr. Marinade, of course! Now everyone can experience his medicine for a perfect meal.
